Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough across the inland Pilbara southern Kimberley, which should deepen slowly over the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the southwest of the state and will build south of the state before a high pressure system moves into the Bight on Friday. A trough is beginning to develop near the west coast, and will deepen on Thursday and Friday and move offshore on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 19 December
Chance of a mainly showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 20 December
Chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the east Kimberley, northeast Interior, southern Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Chance of a morning shower over the eastern Eucla and adjacent southeast Interior.

Forecast for Friday 21 December
Chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Interior, southern Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern Central West District.

Forecast for Saturday 22 December
Chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Gascoyne, Central West District and western parts of the Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Sunday 23 December
Chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, Central West District and western parts of the Central Wheat Belt.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
