Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies along the Pilbara coast and across the southern Kimberley which should deepen slowly over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the southwest of the state and build across the southern parts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday before a high pressure system moves into the Bight on Friday. A trough begins developing down the west coast on Wednesday, deepening on Thursday and Friday and moving offshore of the west coast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 18 December
Showers about southern coastal districts east of Albany. Chance of a shower and thunderstorm in the far northeast Kimberley, clearing during the evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 19 December
Chance of a mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northern Kimberley. Chance of a morning shower about the South East coastal and Eucla districts, clearing to the coast during the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 20 December
Chance of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the east Kimberley, northeast Interior, south Pilbara, west South Interior, Gascoyne and adjacent Central West and Goldfields. Chance of a morning shower near the south coast.
Forecast for Friday 21 December
Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, north Interior, Pilbara, Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of a morning shower near the central and eastern south coast.
Forecast for Saturday 22 December
Chance of a shower and thunderstorm in the Kimberley, north North Interior, southwest Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central West, northeast Lower West and adjacent Central Wheat Belt.
