Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending from the central Pilbara through the northern Interior will push north into the inland Kimberley and extend to inland of the west Pilbara coast during Thursday. The trough will move well inland from the Pilbara coast later on Friday, moving further inland during Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the state. A trough will extending down the west coast on Thursday, deepening on Friday, before contracting eastwards on Saturday and Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 12 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far northeast Interior. Showers about the coastal Eucla, clearing later this evening.

Forecast for Thursday 13 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, extending to the eastern and inland Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne during the afternoon.

Forecast for Friday 14 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon about the far southeast Pilbara, east and south Gascoyne and Central West district. Showers and thunderstorms developing about the South West coastal district in the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 15 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers developing about the coastal Central West in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder of the South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields, gradually contracting eastwards in the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 16 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, , southern Goldfields and western Eucla gradually contracting eastwards during the day. Showers about coastal parts of the Central West and Southwest districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
