Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends from the Pilbara coast through the southern Kimberley and into the North Interior and will gradually deepen before moving inland from the Pilbara coast on Wednesday. The trough will remain fairly stationary until contracting back to the Pilbara coast on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the state with a high pressure cell to become established in the Bight during Wednesday. A developing trough near the west coast will deepen further on Thursday as it moves inland. Another deep trough will redevelop just offshore from the west coast on Friday before the northern segment moves to the inland Gascoyne later in the day. The southern part of the trough will move eastwards during Saturday as a weak ridge builds over the west coast in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 13 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley and the northern Interior. Areas of drizzle and light showers developing through the South East Coastal District this evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the inland Pilbara and the northern Gascoyne. Areas of drizzle and light morning showers possible over the South East Coastal, Eucla and far southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 15 November
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and eastern Kimberley and the adjacent North Interior. A chance of showers or thunderstorms through the inland Pilbara, Gascoyne and inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 16 November
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and eastern Kimberley and the northern and central Interior. A chance of showers or thunderstorms through the inland Pilbara, Gascoyne and the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 17 November
Showers and thunderstorms through the Kimberley and adjacent North Interior. A chance of showers or thunderstorms through the inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne and adjacent Goldfields, as well as southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
