Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends from the inland Pilbara to the North Interior and is gradually moving north. By late Tuesday morning the trough will extend from the Pilbara coast to the southern Kimberley where it will gradually deepen before moving inland from the Pilbara coast on Wednesday. A new trough will begin to develop in the North Interior on Thursday and extend to the western Kimberley on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep surface trough is contracting east through the South Interior with a ridge near the south coast. A weak cold front will brush the south coast Tuesday morning before the ridge drifts further south. On Wednesday a trough will develop near the west coast and deepen further on Thursday as it moves inland from the west coast. Another deep trough will redevelop offshore from the west coast on Friday before northern parts moves inland through the Gascoyne later in the day.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 12 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, North Interior and northern parts of the Kimberley. Gusty winds and heavy falls possible through central parts of the Interior. Showers near the south and Eucla coasts, southwest Capes and adjacent inland parts, contracting to the south coast this evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and central Kimberley and the northern Interior. Showers about the south coast and adjacent inland parts west of Israelite Bay. Morning showers possible in the far eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Kimberley, with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the inland Pilbara and the far northern Gascoyne. Light morning showers possible over the Eucla and far southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 15 November
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and eastern Kimberley and the adjacent North Interior. A chance of showers or thunderstorms through the inland Pilbara, Gascoyne and western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 16 November
Showers and thunderstorms in the northern and eastern Kimberley and the northern and central Interior. A chance of showers or thunderstorms through the inland Pilbara, Gascoyne and the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
