Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough of low pressure system will remain over inland parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley for at least the next four days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of WA with a trough of low pressure over the southeast. The trough will move northeast during the remainder of the weekend and weaken. A surface trough will begin to develop near west coast on Sunday, and move eastwards on Monday ahead of a weak cold front that will reach the western south coast by Monday evening. From Tuesday a ridge of high pressure will lie to the south of the State while another trough develops over the southeast of WA.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 27 October
Showers and possibly severe thunderstorms over the eastern Interior and northeast Eucla. Rain through the remaining Eucla and southeast Goldfields with moderate to heavy falls possible. Light showers near the remainder of the south coast.
Forecast for Sunday 28 October
Showers and thunderstorm over the eastern Interior. Some rain over the southeast of the State easing to more isolated showers by the afternoon. Light showers near the south coast.
Forecast for Monday 29 October
Showers and thunderstorm near the eastern border of WA and in the north Kimberley. Showers near the western south coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 30 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley.
Light showers over the South East Coastal district and adjacent parts of neighbouring districts.
Forecast for Wednesday 31 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible in the southern Goldfields, Eucla, Kimberley and Interior. Areas of rain over the South East Coastal district.
