Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Pilbara coast and extends into the southern Kimberley. The trough will drift southwards with a low pressure system developing over central WA on Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast. A cold front approaching WA on Wednesday will weaken as it arrives at the west coast, with little rainfall penetrating inland. A low pressure system will develop over central WA on Wednesday and meander around the interior of the State until the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 22 October
Some light showers around the southwest corner of the State. Showers and thunderstorms over the northeastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 October
Light showers in coastal areas of the southwest between Cape Naturaliste and Albany. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 October
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms near the SW Capes, extending across western parts of the South West Land Division and into the southwest Gascoyne during the day. Showers and thunderstorms also possible over the southeastern Goldfields, South East Coastal district and western Eucla in the late afternoon and evening. Showers and thunderstorms in the north and east Kimberley and the eastern North Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 25 October
Showers near the south coast with morning showers near the Gascoyne coast. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and eastern parts of the Gascoyne as well as across the north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 26 October
Showers near the western south coast. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the eastern Kimberley, Interior, Eucla and far eastern parts of the Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
