Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough extends from the Kimberley into the Pilbara and eastern parts of the Gascoyne. The surface trough will contract eastwards into the Interior during today and Saturday, before redeveloping in the Pilbara and extending into the Gascoyne on Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies near the west coast with a low pressure system offshore from the SW Capes. The low pressure system weakening and moving eastwards on Friday and Saturday, as a weak ridge of high pressure develops to the south of the State. A new trough will develop near the Central West coast on Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 5 October
Showers and thunderstorms through the South Coastal, South East Coastal, Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior, gradually contracting eastwards during the evening. Showers through the remainder of the South West Land Division, contracting to southern districts and coastal parts of the Central West District during the evening.
Forecast for Saturday 6 October
Morning drizzle through southern districts, tending to showers later in the morning. Showers extending to the Great Southern, southern Central Wheat Belt and southern Goldfields during the day. Showers along mainly coastal parts of the Central West District, clearing during the morning. Showers and possible morning thunderstorms in the Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms possible through the South Interior and the far north Kimberley, mainly during the afternoon.

Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division. Showers, with possible thunderstorms developing about northern and central parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, Eucla and adjacent southern Interior.
Forecast for Monday 8 October
Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division, extending into the Goldfields and adjacent Central Wheat Belt during the day. Showers, with possible morning thunderstorms through the eastern South Interior, eastern Goldfields and eastern Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 9 October
Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and thunderstorms developing through remaining parts of the South West Land Division during the day.
