Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies well inland over the Pilbara and Kimberley. A low lies in the trough over the far southwestern Pilbara and will move southwards during Friday and Saturday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies off the south coast and a low pressure system is developing over the northwestern Gascoyne. The low will move southwards during Friday and Saturday, increasing the easterly flow over central and western parts of the State. From Sunday the low dissipates into a trough of low pressure that moves eastwards. The low and trough will produce unstable conditions over the southern half of WA from Friday night and across the weekend.

Some light showers near the south coast. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southern Interior.
Forecast for Friday 28 September
Windy through the Gascoyne, northern and western South West Land Division, the Goldfields and South Interior. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South Interior and eastern Goldfields. Morning showers near the south coast.
Forecast for Saturday 29 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms through the South West Land Division, Goldfields and western Eucla. Windy across central and western parts of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 30 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms through the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and the Eucla.
Forecast for Monday 1 October
Showers across southern parts of the South West Land Division and the Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms in the southeast of the State will clear during the day.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
