Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the northern Kimberley with a fresh southeasterly flow extending over the Pilbara and southern Kimberley. A new trough will develop over the western Pilbara late Thursday and Friday, before moving eastwards on Saturday and Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will build along the south coast for the next few days. On Thursday and Friday a broad surface trough will develop near the west coast, before moving eastwards on Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 19 September
The chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the northeast Pilbara, southwest Kimberley and the North Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 20 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeastern Pilbara and the North Interior. Gusty easterly winds over the northern half of the State.
Forecast for Friday 21 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms in the Kimberley and northeast Interior, clearing eastwards during the day. The chance of showers near the far western south coast.
Forecast for Saturday 22 September
Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division, extending into adjacent inland parts during the afternoon, with the chance of thunderstorms.
Forecast for Sunday 23 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
