Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the Kimberley with a fresh southeasterly flow extending over the Pilbara. The Kimberley trough will contract north eastwards on Thursday with fresh southeasterly winds extending over the southern Kimberley. A new trough will develop over the western Pilbara and Gascoyne late Thursday and Friday, before moving eastwards on Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will build along the south coast for the next few days. On Thursday and Friday a surface trough will develop near the west coast, before moving eastwards on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 18 September
Showers over southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division and Eucla. Gusty southeasterly winds over central parts of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 September
Showers near the south coast, extending to inland parts of the Southeast Coastal district and southeast Goldfields for a period during the day. The chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the eastern Pilbara and the North Interior. Gusty southeasterly winds over central WA, from the northern Gascoyne to the southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 20 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeastern Pilbara and the North Interior. Gusty easterly winds over the northern half of the State. Morning frost about the southern Goldfields and adjacent parts.

Forecast for Friday 21 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms in the Kimberley and northeast Interior, clearing eastwards during the day. The chance of showers near the far southwest corner of the State during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 22 September
Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division, extending into the Great Southern during the afternoon with the chance of thunderstorms.
