Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A generally westerly flow persists over northern parts of the State. A surface trough lies through the Pilbara and Northern Interior, and will push towards the Pilbara coast early next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep surface trough just inland from the west coast will move eastwards on Saturday and Sunday. A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner on Sunday and then a new ridge will build in its wake from Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 14 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, central and eastern Gascoyne, central and the northern Interior, parts of the South West Land Division away from the west coast, and the western Goldfields.
Forecast for Saturday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, northern Interior, Goldfields, central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the far western Eucla. Light showers or drizzle possible over western coastal parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 16 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, northern and western Interior, the Goldfields and Eucla. Showers about the southern parts of the South West Land Division, and the chance of a thunderstorm in the far east of the South East Coastal district.
Forecast for Monday 17 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeastern Gascoyne, northern and western Interior and the northern and eastern Goldfields. Morning thunderstorms possible over the Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 18 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern and western Gascoyne and the adjacent Central West.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
