Western Australia Forecast

Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia 
A generally westerly flow persists over northern parts of the State. A surface 
trough extends through the Pilbara and Northern Interior and then persists into 
the weekend. 

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia 
A high pressure ridge lies south of the State and a surface trough is deepening 
near the west coast, before moving eastwards on Saturday. A weak cold front 
will brush the southwest corner on Sunday and then a new ridge will build in 
its wake. 

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 February 
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland central and eastern 
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, and the Interior. Showers and thunderstorms possible 
over western and central parts of the South West Land Division. 

Forecast for Friday 14 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, central and 
eastern Gascoyne and the northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms also 
possible over central and western parts of the South West Land Division and the 
far southwest Goldfields. 

Forecast for Saturday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, 
northern Interior, Goldfields and central and eastern parts of the South West 
Land Division. Light showers or drizzle possible over western coastal parts of 
the South West Land Division. 

Forecast for Sunday 16 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, far eastern 
Gascoyne, northern and western Interior and Goldfields and Eucla. Showers about 
the southern parts of the South West Land Division, and the chance of a 
thunderstorm in the far east of the South East Coastal district. 

Forecast for Monday 17 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, 
northern and western Interior and Goldfields and possibly over the Eucla. 

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
