Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies inland from the west Kimberley and Pilbara coasts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad surface trough through central parts of the State will continue to contract eastwards with a cold front crossing the southwest this evening. Sunday will see the remains of the front brushing along the south coast with a ridge of high pressure building rapidly in the wake of the front. A trough will begin to develop down the west coast on Monday and deepen during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 7 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, Eucla, and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over the South West Land Division clearing to the south and west coast this evening.

Forecast for Sunday 8 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Interior, adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Morning showers about the west coast south of Geraldton, and about the south coast west of Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Monday 9 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior. Light morning showers possible about Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 10 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, extending into the central Gascoyne and northeast Interior. Light morning showers possible about the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 11 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern and central Pilbara, Gascoyne, western Goldfields and far northern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
