Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the southern Kimberley through to the inland Pilbara. The trough will deepen and the western arm of the trough will move south to the Gascoyne over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is contracting away from the western south coast and into the Bight as a high pressure ridge builds along the south coast this evening. The ridge moves south of the State on Friday and into the Bight on Saturday. A trough will deepen near the west coast on Saturday before moving inland on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 October
Showers over areas south of Margaret River to Bremer Bay clearing early this evening.

Thunderstorms over the Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 19 October
Thunderstorms over the Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 20 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, Goldfields, western Eucla and South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Monday 21 October
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, eastern Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the South East Coastal district.
