Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will build over central parts of the State over the next few days resulting in a fresh east to southeasterly flow across the north over the weekend and most of coming week

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is contracting into the Bight, with a pool of cold and unstable moving across southern parts in its wake. A ridge will develop in the wake of the front and a high pressure system will form over southern parts of the State from Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 17 August
Showers over southern parts of State, with possible thunderstorms and small hail, gradually easing from the west during the day. Showers possible near the west coast south of Jurien Bay, clearing by the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 18 August
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts. Widespread areas of morning frost over southern inland parts of the State.

Forecast for Monday 19 August
Showers possible near the western south coast. Widespread areas of morning frost over southern inland parts of the State. Gusty easterly winds over northern districts in the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 20 August
Widespread areas of morning frost over southern inland parts of the State. Mostly sunny day. Gusty easterly winds over northern districts in the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 21 August
Widespread areas of morning frost over southern inland parts of the State. Mostly sunny day. Gusty easterly winds over northern districts in the morning.
