Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system lies stationary in the Bight, maintaining a strong east to southeasterly flow over northern districts for the next few days. Winds becoming more northerly over western parts during Thursday as the high moves east and weakens. A trough moves northwards through the west Pilbara on Saturday and further eastwards on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system lies in the Bight, resulting in a dry north to northeasterly flow over central and southern parts of the State. A strong cold front will reach the Southwest of the state Thursday evening. Strong, gusty northerly winds with areas of raised dust are expected over the South West Land Division ahead of the front and associated rain band. The cold front and rain band will move through the western parts of the South West Land Division and western Gascoyne late Thursday. The rain band will extend east during Friday and weaken on Saturday. A second strong cold front will move across the South West Land Division later Saturday, with another strong cold front late Sunday and early Monday.

Mostly sunny across the State.

Forecast for Thursday 6 June
Rain developing over western parts of the South West Land Division and the southwest Gascoyne. Moderate to heavy falls possible over southwestern districts. Windy and gusty through the central and west parts of the South West Land Division, with areas of raised dust. Tides in Geographe Bay are likely to rise above the high tide mark with very rough seas and the potential flooding of low lying coastal areas.

Forecast for Friday 7 June
Rain extending throughout the Gascoyne and South West Land Division to the western Pilbara and the Goldfields during the day. Moderate falls possible over Gascoyne and South West Land Division, heavy over the western Gascoyne and northern Central West. The chance of a thunderstorm near the southwest coast.

Forecast for Saturday 8 June
Rain over the northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, west Pilbara and southern South Interior. Showers over the remaining Gascoyne and South West Land Division. The chance of a thunderstorm southwest of Perth to Hyden to Bremer Bay. The chance of hail with showers and thunderstorms from late evening over the southwest Capes.

Forecast for Sunday 9 June
Rain over the far northeast Gascoyne, Eucla, central Pilbara and southern South Interior. Showers over the remaining Gascoyne, west Pilbara and South West Land Division. The chance of a thunderstorm southwest of Windy Harbour to Hyden to Eyre. The chance of hail with showers and thunderstorms in the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.
