Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the coastal parts of the Pilbara and extends into the central parts of the Kimberley. A tropical low is developing well to the north of the Kimberley and is forecast to track to the west-southwest throughout the week with a high chance of developing into a tropical cyclone. It is likely for the system to remain well to the north of WA, however there is a slight risk of it moving close to the Pilbara late in the week or during the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the west coast. The trough remains over the western parts of the State and is slow moving today and tomorrow, before moving east midweek.

Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, central and southern Interior, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, inland Gascoyne, western Goldfields and South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 20 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, west Eucla and central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the southwest coast.

Forecast for Thursday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, Inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the south coast with possible thunderstorms east of Albany.

Forecast for Friday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, southwestern Interior, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers and drizzle over the southern and eastern South West Land Division.
