Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends from the central Pilbara through to the Interior. The trough will deepen through the Interior on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A middle level disturbance over central parts of the State will gradually ease over the next 24 hours. A ridge of high pressure will build along the south coast from the west this evening before a weak cold front moves over the southwest of the State on Sunday and Monday. A new ridge develops near the south coast by Tuesday with a very weak front just brushing the south coast late on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning contracts into the Bight.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 12 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Showers contracting east out of the South East Coastal district this evening with areas of fog developing in the wake of this activity.

Forecast for Sunday 13 October
Morning fog about the South East Coastal district and adjacent Goldfields, Great Southern and South Coastal districts. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, far southern Interior and the Eucla, contracting east during the day and clearing in the evening. Showers developing southwest of a line from Perth to Hopetoun during the day.

Forecast for Monday 14 October
Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay contracting to the south coastal districts in the evening. High-based showers and thunderstorms in the eastern Goldfields and adjacent South Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 October
Showers over southern coastal districts and the adjacent southern Goldfields. Thunderstorms possible about the eastern Eucla and adjacent South Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 October
Showers about the south coast, most likely about the Esperance coastline. Possible thunderstorms about the far southeastern Interior and adjacent northeastern Eucla.
