Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the western Pilbara. A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia is directing an easterly flow over remaining northern parts. The high will weaken and contract east later on Saturday allowing a surface trough to develop over the west Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough lies across the Gascoyne, Goldfields and western Eucla. A very weak cold front will move over the southwest corner of the state early Saturday then weak as a ridge of high pressure develops over the south of the state. The ridge of high pressure will eventually migrate and build to the south of the State on Sunday, pushing the surface trough north and east into the Interior. A trough develops near the west coast, deepening and moving east later in the day and continuing to move east on Tuesday.

Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line Busselton to Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 14 September
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Hopetoun. Morning drizzle about the Lower West and adjacent Great Southern. Chance of an afternoon thunderstorm over the southern Goldfields and northern Southeast Coastal. Temperatures much warmer than usual through most parts away from the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 15 September
Showers over the southern Great Southern, South Coastal and Southeast Coastal. A cooler change extending from the South West Land Division to the Goldfields and southern Gascoyne and eventually the Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 16 September
Shower and the chance of a thunderstorm over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Slight chance of a shower near the lower west coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 September
Chance of a morning thunderstorm in the Southeast Coastal and adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Slight chance of a shower near the lower west coast and western south coast.
