Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system lies well south of the continent and is moving slowly east. Easterly winds easing as a trough over the western Pilbara moves east during Tuesday as a cloud band starts to develop about NW Cape on Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system well south of the continent is moving east. A trough off the west coast will move east on Tuesday ahead of a cold front. The cold front will interact with a cloud band on Wednesday to produce rainfall over a large part of the State, although falls may be patchy over agricultural areas. Rainfall easing from the west during Thursday as a ridge develops over western parts of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 12 August
Light showers possible near the Eucla coast to the east of Eyre.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 August
Showers with possible afternoon and evening thunderstorms over areas southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 August
Showers and possible thunderstorms southwest of a line Shark Bay to Israelite bay. Rain areas developing over remaining areas southwest of a line Karratha to Eucla, with possible thunderstorms in the evening over northwestern parts.

Forecast for Thursday 15 August
Showers clearing from western and northern inland parts southwest of a line Exmouth to Eyre, but remaining over near coastal parts and lingering over southern coastal districts and the southern Goldfields. Possible thunderstorms over southern parts. Patchy rain in a band from Port Hedland to Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 16 August
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Eucla and southern Interior. Showers and possible thunderstorms developing about the SW Capes during the morning, extending to southwest of a line Kalbarri to
