Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure is lies over the southern parts of the state and is contracting towards the southeast. Fresh east to southeasterly winds will continue until Wednesday before the ridge pulls away before being replaced by another ridge on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the state with a high pressure system located in the Bight. The ridge will contract eastwards on Wednesday as a trough develops off the west coast. This weak trough will move through the South West Land Division on Thursday. A ridge of high pressure builds over southern parts in the wake of the trough on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 2 June
Morning showers near the south and Eucla coasts. Light patchy showers developing along the west coast south of Geraldton late in the day. Patchy light rain possible over far western parts of the Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 3 June
Patchy light showers possible over western parts of the South West Land Division. Late showers developing over the South West district.

Forecast for Thursday 4 June
Showers southwest of a line Bunbury to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Friday 5 June
Showers near the south coast between Denmark and Israelite Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
