Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated cloud band will move into the Kimberley and North Interior on Tuesday, where it will remain until Thursday before weakening. A ridge will develop over central parts of the state on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will develop over central parts of the state during Tuesday allowing a mainly westerly flow to persist over the southern parts. A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the State overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning, before a stronger cold front moves across the South West Land Division and adjacent parts during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 May
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Morning showers and possible thunderstorms over the Eucla, and the adjacent South Interior. Rain areas and possible thunderstorms over the west and south Kimberley, north and east Interior and the far eastern Pilbara. Moderate falls possible in the western Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 27 May
Showers over areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay. Rain areas and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far northeast Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 28 May
Showers over areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay, with thunderstorms possible southwest of Perth to Albany. Showers or patchy rain possible over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 29 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms moving through the South West Land Division during the day, reaching adjacent parts of the Goldfields and Gascoyne later in the day. Showers or patchy rain possible over the Eucla, Interior, west Kimberley and far eastern Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
