Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia 
A broad low pressure trough extends through the Kimberley and Pilbara and into 
the North Interior contracting to the Kimberley and Pilbara by Saturday. The 
trough will move offshore from the western Pilbara during morning periods over 
the next few days. 

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia 
A weak ridge of high pressure lies off the south coast and a broad trough is 
developing through central parts of the South West Land Division. The trough 
will remain almost stationary through to Wednesday before moving east on 
Thursday as a weak cold front skims the south coast. A new ridge of high 
pressure will build rapidly over the south of the State in it’s wake, moving 
down over the south coast on Friday and south of the State on Saturday. 

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 31 March 
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and eastern 
Interior. Showers about coastal and adjacent parts between Cape Naturaliste and 
Bremer Bay. 

Forecast for Wednesday 1 April
Showers about coastal and adjacent inland parts from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer 
Bay. Possible morning shower or thunderstorm over the far eastern Interior. 
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. 

Forecast for Thursday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the central and east Kimberley. Showers 
extending to southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Wagin to Israelite Bay. 

Forecast for Friday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley. Shower about near southern 
coastal parts east of Walpole. 

Forecast for Saturday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley. Showers about coastal and 
adjacent inland parts from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay. 

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
