Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the inland of the Pilbara to the North Interior which will persist over the coming days. A broad westerly flow over the Kimberley will increase on Monday and Tuesday, easing from Wednesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State with a trough along the west coast. The trough will move inland from the west coast during Monday and continue east on Tuesday ahead of a weak front that brushes the south coast. A new ridge will develop over the south of the State on Wednesday and Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 19 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior and the northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 20 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest Gascoyne and the northern Interior. Moderate to heavy falls about the northwest Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 21 January
Rain and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley, east Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and the northern Interior. Moderate to heavy falls about the north and northwest Kimberley coast.
Showers developing southwest of Bunbury to Albany, extending up to Mandurah and across to Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Wednesday 22 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara and northern and eastern Interior. Showers about the south coast and adjacent inland areas.

Forecast for Thursday 23 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara and northern and North Interior. Light showers about the south coast and adjacent inland areas.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
