Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies inland from the west Kimberley and Pilbara coasts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad surface trough through central parts of the State will continue to contract eastwards with a cold front crossing the southwest. Sunday will see the remains of the front brushing along the south coast with a ridge of high pressure building rapidly in the wake of the front.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 6 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne and eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division, extending into the Goldfields and Southeast Coastal.

Forecast for Saturday 7 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, Eucla, and central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers developing over areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay during the day with possible thunderstorms over southern parts of the Southwest District.

Forecast for Sunday 8 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Interior, adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Morning showers about the western south coast.

Forecast for Monday 9 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 10 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, extending into the central Gascoyne and northeast Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
