Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the northwest Kimberley coast through to the central Pilbara. A trough will weaken and become fairly broad across northern WA from Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough lies over southern inland parts, and will drift slowly east during Thursday and Friday. A middle level disturbance will develop over the southwest corner during Friday, before moving eastwards over southern parts of the State on Saturday and Sunday. A weak cold front will reach the western south coast later on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 9 October
Showers and thunderstorms about the northwest Kimberley in the early evening.

Forecast for Thursday 10 October
Thunderstorms possible over the coastal Eucla in the morning.

Forecast for Friday 11 October
Showers over areas southwest of a line Perth to Hopetoun, with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon and early evening.

Forecast for Saturday 12 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, far south of the Gascoyne, Goldfields and western Eucla, easing from the west during the evening.

Forecast for Sunday 13 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the far east of the South West Land Division, far southeast of the Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla, contracting east during the day and clearing in the evening. Showers developing near the western south coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
