Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the western Pilbara through to the Kimberley coast. The trough will drift east towards the North Interior early in the working week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing over the south of the State, with a weak cloud band lying over southern parts. The ridge will then build to the south of the State on Sunday, pushing the surface trough north and east into the Interior. A trough will develop near the west coast on Monday before deepening and moving east on Tuesday. A strong cold front will move across southwestern parts of the State during Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 14 September
Showers possible southwest of a line Mandurah to Hopetoun. Showers and thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields and adjacent parts of the Southeast Coastal and Eucla districts.

Forecast for Sunday 15 September
Showers over the southern Great Southern, South Coastal and Southeast Coastal. Thunderstorms possible in the afternoon and evening over the southern Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 16 September
Possible showers and thunderstorms over areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Merredin to Esperance, mostly in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 September
Chance of a morning thunderstorm in the Southeast Coastal and adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Slight chance of showers near the south coast

Forecast for Wednesday 18 September
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Albany, increasing in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms. Showers also extending through remaining areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Israelite Bay during the afternoon and evening.
