Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the western Pilbara. A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia is directing an easterly flow over remaining northern parts. The high will weaken and contract east later on Saturday allowing a surface trough will develop over the west Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough lies across the Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla and a weak ridge of high pressure extends over the south west of the State. A middle level cloud band streaming over the south west corner of WA will persist before weakening later on Saturday. The ridge of high pressure will eventually migrate and build to the south of the State on Sunday, pushing the surface trough north and eastwards into the Interior.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 12 September
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Bremer Bay tending to rain about the southwest coast, easing this evening.

Forecast for Friday 13 September
Areas of morning fog over the South West Land Division. Showers southwest of a line Bunbury to Albany. Fresh and gusty easterly winds over northern parts. Temperatures much warmer than usual through northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 14 September
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Morning drizzle about the Lower West and adjacent Great Southern. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields, adjacent South West Land Division and Eucla. Temperatures much warmer than usual through most parts away from the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 15 September
Showers over central and southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Possible thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields, adjacent South West Land Division and Eucla. A cooler change extending from the South West Land Division to the Goldfields and southern Gascoyne and eventually the Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 16 September
Showers over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.
