Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Easterly winds over the north will ease from late Thursday as a broad trough develops over the west Pilbara. The trough will move slowly east during Friday and will lie over the Kimberley and North Interior Saturday morning.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will move through the South West Land Division Thursday night and Friday morning. A new high pressure ridge develops near the south coast in the wake of the front over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 22 August
Rain developing about the Southwest Capes during the afternoon, reaching southwest of a line Shark Bay to Albany during the evening. Possible thunderstorms about the coast between Jurien Bay and Albany.

Forecast for Friday 23 August
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne, southwestern Goldfields and the western Eucla. Possible small hail near the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 24 August
Showers possible along the southern and Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Sunday 25 August
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the northern Goldfields and the adjacent South Interior.

Forecast for Monday 26 August
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the northern Goldfields and the adjacent South Interior.
