Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will extend over the Pilbara, with a rain band and trough moving through western parts of the Gascoyne and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A rain band and cold front will move over the south of the state during this weekend. A second cold front will cross the southwest corner of the State on Sunday evening. A ridge of high pressure will develop in the wake of the cold front over central parts of the State during Monday and Tuesday. A strong cold front will move through the South West Land Division during Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 22 June
Rain and squally thunderstorms in the western parts of the Gascoyne and South West Land Division, extending through central parts of the South West Land Division in the late evening. Showers about the west Pilbara, and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 23 June
Rain and thunderstorms extending through northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Pilbara and Eucla. Showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division with isolated thunderstorms southwest of a line Perth to Esperance in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 24 June
Showers in the west Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla easing during the day. Showers in the South West Land Division, with isolated thunderstorms about southern coastal parts, contracting eastwards.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 June
Showers will develop over the western parts of the South West Land Division and the Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 June
Rain developing over the SW Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt, and SW Goldfields. Showers through the South West Land Division and Eucla, with thunderstorms possible southwest of a line Perth to Hopetoun.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
