Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough will develop over the inland Kimberley and North Interior during Friday and Saturday and drift northwards on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is moving through the southeast of the State. Cool southerly winds will continue behind the front as a high pressure system sits off the southwest corner. A low will develop in the Bight and approach the south coast during Saturday, before contracting eastwards during Sunday. Another cold front will cross the southwest of the State on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 17 May
Showers and small hail possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division, and the Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over the South East Coastal district and the Eucla. Showers over the remaining eastern Goldfields and far southern Interior. Isolated showers or thunderstorms about the eastern Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 18 May
Showers over southern coastal districts and adjacent inland parts. Windy with squally showers, thunderstorms and small hail over the South East Coastal district and the southern Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms about the eastern Kimberly and eastern Interior. Areas of morning frost about the Lower West, Great Southern, Central Wheat Belt, Central West and South West district.

Forecast for Sunday 19 May
Showers and morning thunderstorms about the eastern south coast clearing eastwards during the afternoon. Showers developing about the South West district late afternoon increasing and extending into the adjacent Lower West, Great Southern and South Coastal districts late evening. Isolated showers and thunderstorms about the northern and eastern Kimberley and northeast Interior. Areas of morning frost about inland parts of the southern half of the state.

Forecast for Monday 20 May
Showers extending through the South West Land Division during the day, reaching the southwest Gascoyne and southwest Goldfields in the afternoon, only light falls expected in northern and eastern parts. Possible showers through the Kimberley and northeast Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 21 May
Showers along the south coast and adjacent parts, and the Lower West district, contracting south during the day. Showers and thunderstorms through the central Interior, northeast Pilbara and the northwest Kimberley, mainly during the afternoon.
