Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Veronica lies just off the western Pilbara coast and will continue weaken as it moves the west. A trough extends from the Pilbara into the Interior of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high lies over the Bight as a trough develops near the west coast. It will move inland during the day on Wednesday. A new high pressure ridge will develop near the south coast during from Thursday as another trough develops down the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 March
Showers over the western Pilbara contracting west and easting during the evening. Showers and thunderstorms through the Kimberley and northwest Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, west and eastern Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central West and northern Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Thursday 28 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley, southern inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, mostly in the afternoon and evening. Showers over the northeast and southern parts of the South West Land Division and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley, western Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, mostly afternoon and evening. Showers near the south coast and over the northeast Goldfields, southern Interior and eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorm over the western Pilbara and Gascoyne, mostly in the afternoon and evening. Showers abut the Eucla coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
