Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends through the Kimberley into the Pilbara and the inland Gascoyne. The trough through the Gascoyne will contract east during Saturday, before redeveloping near the west coast on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough will move east from the Goldfields and into the Interior during Saturday, whilst a weak cold front brushes the south coast. A ridge of high pressure will develop south of the State during Sunday. A high pressure system will move south of the state on Monday and a new trough will develop down the west coast. The trough will move into the Central Wheat Belt during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far eastern Goldfields, western parts of the Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 16 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, and North Interior. Light showers possible near the south coast. Very hot over northern parts of the State, Eucla, and eastern parts of the Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 17 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara and west North Interior. Light showers possible near the south coast and Eucla coast. Very hot over northern parts of the State.

Forecast for Monday 18 February
Showers and thunderstorm over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, and western Interior. Very hot over northern parts of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 February
Showers and thunderstorm over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, far northeast Gascoyne, western Interior, Goldfields, eastern parts of the Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt. Very hot over northern parts of the State and the northern Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
