Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Gascoyne into the Pilbara and North Interior and will remain fairly stationary until Saturday when it will move northward to lie through the inland Pilbara and Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is strengthening to the south of the State. A trough is developing down the west coast and will continue to deepen over the next few days, directing easterly winds over the South West Land Division, fresh and gusty at times. The trough will move inland during Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 7 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, and the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and northern and central parts of the South West Land Division. Light showers near the south coast. Very hot over northeastern parts of the State, and the Central West district.

Forecast for Saturday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior, Gascoyne and Central West. Light showers near the Eucla coast. Very hot over the Central West and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Sunday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central West and adjacent Central Wheat Belt. Very hot over the Central West and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Monday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Gascoyne. Light showers possible near the south coast and adjacent inland parts.
