Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Gascoyne into the Pilbara and North Interior and will remain fairly stationary for the next few days until Saturday when it will move northward.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State and remain for the next few days. A trough is developing down the west coast and will continue to deepen over the next few days, directing easterly winds over the South West Land Division, fresh and gusty at times during Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 5 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, north and west Goldfields and north and inland central parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over the northeastern parts of the state.

Forecast for Thursday 7 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and the South West Land Division. Very hot over northeastern parts of the State, Central West and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Friday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior, inland Gascoyne, Central West, Lower West and the Central Wheat Belt and northern Great Southern. Very hot over northeastern parts of the State and the Central West districts.

Forecast for Saturday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern Interior, western Gascoyne, Central West and adjacent Central Wheat Belt. Very hot over northeastern parts of the State, Central West and Lower West districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
