Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Pilbara and into the North Interior, and will remain near stationary for the next couple of days before drifting into the Gascoyne on Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State. A new surface trough will develop near the west coast on Monday then deepen further near the west coast for the remainder of the week.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 3 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara and the northeastern Gascoyne. Showers and thunderstorms also possible over the Eucla. Light showers developing along the south coast later this evening.
Forecast for Monday 4 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, northern and eastern Gascoyne, northern and eastern Goldfields and the Eucla. Light showers along the south coast. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 5 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northeastern Goldfields and Eucla. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern and western Goldfields, and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over northeastern parts of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 7 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne, Goldfields and the South West Land Division. Very hot over northeastern parts of the State and the Central West and Lower West districts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
