Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A deep surface trough lies over the central Pilbara, and should remain there for the next few days. On Tuesday a weak tropical low may develop in the Timor Sea, remaining well north of the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough lies over the northeast Gascoyne, South Interior and eastern Eucla, as a ridge builds to the south of the State. The trough will broaden over the inland Gascoyne, Interior and northern Goldfields as the ridge pushes into the Bight, where it will remain for the following few days. A weak cold front will brush the far southwest of the State on Thursday before another ridge develops in the wake of the front by Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 14 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northern and eastern Goldfields and the Interior extending into the remaining Goldfields, Eucla and the east of the Southeast Coastal district during the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over northern and central parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot through central parts.

Forecast for Thursday 17 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northern and eastern Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and South East Coastal districts. Showers developing about the western south coast during the day.

Forecast for Friday 18 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, far northeast Gascoyne, northern and eastern Interior and the eastern Eucla. Possible morning showers about the South East Coastal district.
