Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the central Pilbara through the Goldfields and will slowly move eastwards and weaken over the next couple of days. Another weak trough lies just inland of the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough continues to deepen inland from the west coast, and will move eastwards ahead of a weak cold front expected to reach the far southwest of the state Tuesday afternoon. By Wednesday, a large high pressure system will rapidly develop over the south of the State in the wake of the cold front, and will remain to the south of the State through to the end of the week. Another surface trough begins to deepen near the west coast on Thursday and deepens on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 10 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, Eucla, central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Thunderstorms possibly severe through the Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land Division with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers developing about southwestern parts of the South West Land Division in the evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara, Interior, eastern Goldfields and eastern Eucla. Showers about the west coast south of Geraldton during the morning and also over southern coastal districts, contracting to coastal parts east of Esperance late in the day.

Forecast for Thursday 13 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 14 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley
