Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends through eastern and northern parts of the State, redeveloping near the Kimberley and Pilbara coast over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front contracts along the south coast and into the Bight by Friday, with a ridge developing in its wake. A new trough will develop near the west coast on Saturday, deepening on Sunday. The trough moves inland on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, Interior, eastern Goldfields, eastern Pilbara, far northeast Gascoyne and the eastern Eucla. Showers over the southern parts of the South West, and southern coastal Districts.

Forecast for Friday 7 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara. The chance of thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields and the Eucla in the morning. Morning showers along the south coast and adjacent inland parts west of Hopetoun.

Forecast for Saturday 8 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, and northern Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 9 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, Eucla and eastern inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 10 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields, southeastern Gascoyne, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
