Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies across the southern Kimberley and North Interior. A ridge will develop over the western Pilbara during Friday as a new trough develops inland from the Pilbara coast over the weekend. This trough will move east into the North Interior on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough over eastern parts of the State will move into South Australia on Friday morning as a cold front moves along the south coast and into the Bight. A ridge of high pressure will develop over southern parts of the State during Friday and Saturday. A cold front will then move through southern parts during Sunday, before a new ridge of high pressure develops in its wake near the south coast during Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 18 October
Showers over central and southern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern Goldfields and the western Eucla. Thunderstorms also possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division and the western Eucla. Small hail possible near the western south coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley. Windy over the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior, with areas of raised dust possible until early evening.

Forecast for Friday 19 October
Showers near the south coast and about the west coast south of Geraldton, contracting to the western south coast during the day. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, mostly during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 20 October
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Albany. Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 21 October
Showers extending through areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Israelite Bay during the day, before mostly contracting to south coastal parts in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northeast Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 22 October
Showers near the south coast. Morning showers possible near the west coast south of Lancelin in the morning. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.
