Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley towards central Australia. Another weak trough extends from the Kimberley through the Pilbara into the Gascoyne and is expected to deepen over the next few days, before contracting eastwards through the Gascoyne later on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will gradually deepen from the Gascoyne down the west coast tonight, with a weak low pressure system developing offshore from the Central West coast late Tuesday or early Wednesday. The trough will contract eastwards on Thursday and Friday, with a weak cold front expected near the southwest of the state late Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 8 October
Showers about southern and central parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla, contracting to southern coastal parts east of Albany this evening. Showers and thunderstorms through Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara and northern Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 October
Showers about southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division and Eucla, extending to adjacent inland parts for a period during the day. Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley and developing early morning in northern parts of the Lower West, adjacent Central West and Central Wheat belt. Showers and thunderstorms extending throughout central and southwestern parts of the Southwest Land Division, eastern Gascoyne, eastern Pilbara and western Goldfields in the afternoon.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 October
Showers and thunderstorms over all but northern parts of the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and Western Pilbara. Showers about the Central West and southwest Gascoyne, mainly coastal. Morning showers about the south coast east of Esperance.

Forecast for Thursday 11 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible about southern parts of the South West Land Division, eastern Goldfields, Eucla, Interior, eastern Pilbara and Kimberley. Showers mainly about coastal parts for the Central West and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Friday 12 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible about southern parts of the South West Land Division, Southern Goldfields and Eucla, contracting eastwards to the Southeast Coastal district, southern Goldfields and Eucla in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms in the eastern Interior, north and east Kimberley. Showers in remaining parts of the South West Land Division southwest of a line Kalbarri to Esperance.
